History
Plasticair was formed in
1980 By Richard Sixsmith, who is the Founder and now Chairman of
Plasticair. Richard was trained in England and has been involved in the
FRP Fan and Scrubber business since 1962. In 1974 he was invited to join
the Plastic fabrication division of a multi-national, and became General
Manager in 1976.
In 1980, the division closed several cash intensive
divisions, including the plastics division. This decision allowed
Plasticair to be formed to complete residual contracts.
Since then, our sales have increased by 15 times, and
we have maintained our original client base while expanding into new
areas world wide.
Plasticair has developed and registered seven
successful patents, engineered FRP fans that achieve static pressures up to 60” W.G.
and over 100,000 CFM and designed a scrubber line that offers removal rates up to
99.9 % of noxious gases and particulate and are challenged in industries
most corrosive and harshest environments.
